Ultrasound

Our clinic offers Ultrasonography, or better known as an Ultrasound. This is a non-invasive advanced imaging technique that allows our Veterinarians to look internally in real-time. This helps our Veterinarians determine how the internal organs of your pet are functioning.

An ultrasound uses sound waves to record an image of an internal organ. An ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to capture live images from the inside of your body. Unlike x-rays, an ultrasound does not expose your pet to radiation.

What Conditions May Require an Ultrasound?

  • Abdominal issues (any noticeable abnormalities)
  • Pregnancy Checks (stages of pregnancy, puppy or kitten development)
  • Masses and Tumors (abdominal area)
  • Exotic pets (which are unable to be radiographed)
